Forest Run
It’s a warm afternoon, humid after heavy rain in the morning, now sun burns again, makes the wet soil steaming. Strong wind shakes the trees above, the sound of the rushing leaves intermittently predominates the singing birds in the trees around him.
He slowly runs along the path, the wet dark soil dampens his steps. A strong breeze dries his sweating body, he feels the strength of the bright sun when reaching one of the occasional sun spots.
He still runs, his legs pushing him forward, against the resistance of the air, his chest fills with fresh humid air, immediately emptying again, preparing for the next stroke. His heart steadily pumps his blood through his whole body.
He enjoys life, movement, warmth, chirping, wind, green rushing along. He concentrates on the very next step, he is here and now, the path will lead him, no thinking, just being alive.
