A Virus as Occam‘s Razor

This Coronavirus impacts our daily lifes, our businesses, our health, our social interactions, it even reveals unconscious individual and collective anxieties and fears.
At the same time it provides a chance to think about all the impacted areas mentioned above, how to do things differently, take different approaches. It initiates people’s thoughts of what is really important for them, what are they missing most. Currently all their plans for the near future are gone, even some plans people had for their life might be impacted.
It’s clearly a trigger for change, a bifurcation for many people.

As your plans have become obsolete anyway, take a break, use the time of isolation to think: What do you miss the most? What components of your plans you are really sad about they are no longer possible? Take these thoughts and develop new ideas. You should try to achieve the things you currently miss the most, let them be your new signpost to find your new path after the crisis.

Let go everything you currently regard as not so important and you don‘t miss during the isolation. Concentrate on the things having really an impact, which matter for you - you can use it to set new objectives for your life after the crisis.

In this sense the virus can be Occam‘s Razor for many people, cutting everything unnecessary away, giving view to what’s really essential in life.
